After considering what I was going to do for an air intake on the Vette I decided on going a little crazy. Since we have to cut a hole in the hood anyways for the eventual supercharger I figured we would just put a nice scoop with direct access to the carburetor in now. All this takes are some extensions on the studs that go to the carburetor Below are the pictures of the progress.
Other steps we took was doing the timing for the vette, which consisted of finding top dead center. A process I will explain in a future post, and installing the distributor. An HEI MSD distributor.
As you can see from the pictures we are getting real close. There is a new, longer radiator hose (due to the difference in intakes and the water neck placement). We also started to install the new fuel pressure regulator. Since the C4 had two lines going in (fuel and return) we needed the correct regulator to compensate. You want your fuel pressure between 4.5 and 9.
