Mutant is raising funds to hire vets
We are three veterans from Fort Stewart who have come together to bring
their passion to the area. We have just hit our year mark and sales are
booming. We have helped employ car enthusiasts and veterans alike. We
provide discounted services for military and have created an honest shop
atmosphere for the military family.
We are also proud to be one of the very few performance shops in the area. Able to fabricate virtually anything and soon to be adding paint and body. We need to raise funds to open a bigger location since we are constantly growing.
One of the questions we are answering is "Where can my family take our vehicle while I am deployed or in the field?" Too many auto repair shops are dishonest and try to pull the wool over unsuspecting customers eyes. We apply our values to the business to make a comfortable environment for anyone to bring their car to.
The other side of the business is the custom side. Able to build a car virtually from scratch, we are aiming to be the east coast version of "Overhaulin" or "Gas Monkey Garage". Someplace a person can see a project go from concept to completion at one shop.
Lastly, the environment we have for our employees at the shop is unique. Providing jobs for veterans is a primary goal, but beyond that we want to provide a comfortable place where vets with PTSD or similar disorders can feel comfortable working, knowing their employer has been there too. We also pride ourselves on providing a job to someone who might otherwise not be able to gain employment.

Corvette needs your help to get selected for Rally Your Heart
Coming up we have a rally. The rally consists of a 550 mile two day journey in Florida. This should be the first big test of the Vette before race season. Even though we will have to detune the vette and then retune for race season we think it is a worthy cause. Help us out by going to Rally Your Heart on facebook and "like" the vette picture on their page. Thanks for your support.

Paint and some Mickey Thompsons
Big update here.
First we have started painting the Vette. Or at this point we have finally put on some color. We are going for a brilliant pearl black. Here is some progress below.

And we also made the decision to go ahead and get some 315/60/15 Mickey Thompsons to plant the rear down on the drag track. Pictured below.
Some mods we will need include raising up the rear end and installing a wheelie bar. Stay tuned for more updates and some videos on how to improve your car.

Vette will race and more
Long time no post. Lots to catch up on.
1) Corvette getting painted (again). We went with a Black Pearl and metallic clear coat. Pics to follow.
2) Installed Victor Jr. heads and finished cleaning up the old wiring and sealed all leaks.
3) New calipers painted and installed along with drilled and slotted rotors.
4) New seats ordered. Not installed yet, as we are waiting on carpet.
Some technical specs for everyone.
Victor Jr. Heads: 215 and rated for 580 horsepower. WOOHOO.
Callipers are race pro and can be found on Summit.
Seats are ordered from Pep Boys and cost about $150/per seat.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy the pics.

Corvette color change and driving around town
Ok. So the corvette engine appears to be in a good place right now. Running right and driving around town. After being sedentary for so long we noticed the left rear hub will need replacing. A $70 part and some simple labor.
So, now that it is running, what to do? Plasti Dip it until the other paint comes in? That sounds like fun. Below are the pics of the color change. What do you think?
